Kohler oil in your Kohler motor etc?And let me correct myself it is not sulfur that was taken out of the oil but zinc and calcium, sulfur was a byproduct of the older diesel fuel when they switched to the newer diesel they took some of the zinc and calcium out of the oils also but those two ingredients are used to clean the engine with so to have an oil that is higher in zinc and calcium would be a plus. ![]() Whatever lights your fire or floats your boat, I like to keep some jingle in my pocket for other things to enjoy. Have several friends with orange tractors with hydro transmissions, they have no complaints running the TSC stuff either. I do not run the hydro unit in the winter, I could understand the synthetic providing an advantage there. Have never been able to detect a difference from the original fluid the manufacturer put in from the factory. I have used Traveler Premium UTF for years in my 5 tractors, 1 hydro, 1 power shift, 1 shuttle shift and 2 straight gear. ![]() They make many lubricants of high quality for various vendors. ![]() It is produced by a company named Warren. There are MANY quality aftermarket products that meet/exceed manufacturer specs. If they were to try such shenanigans, they MUST supply you with such products for free. Have any of you doubters heard of the Magnusen/Ferguson act? It specifically prohibits any manufacturer from denying warranty work if you are not using their products as long as they meet spec. ![]() In 45+ years of doing my own maintenance, I have yet to have an issue related to quality of such products and never anykind of a problem from such practice. I pay attention to manufacturer spec and change intervals but run whatever product meets that spec that I choose to. I have likely just about never run manufacturer oil/ filters on my stuff.
